The Vision of Hope Foundation Scholarship was started in honor of Russell Fritz Sr. as a tribute to his personal contributions and achievement in the field of opticianry.

Second-year students in accredited opticianry programs are eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarships will be paid in two installments at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters, following verification of enrollment.

The following application must be filled out and submitted, all attachments must be in a PDF or Word format.

  • Please attach:

    1. A current copy of college transcript (unofficial or official accepted), must be clear and legible.

    2. A 500-word essay explaining why you should be considered for this scholarship must accompany this application.

    3. Letter of Recommendation from the program director must accompany this application. This is to be uploaded by the program director and requires a signature. The upload application for Letter of Recommendation is found on the Vision of Hope scholarship homepage.

    4. If applicable, please describe any missions or community service projects that you have volunteered for.
