Modern Optical’s Vision of Hope Support
Modern Optical is a proud, long-time sponsor of Vision of Hope.
As one of the nation’s largest suppliers of value eyewear, Modern deeply understands the importance of vision care, especially in underserved communities.
With charity as a core tenet, family-owned Modern Optical actively supports optical-related causes both near and far. In 2017, Linda Fitzgerald contacted Ken and Paula Weissman, owners of Modern Optical, to discuss a long-term partnership benefitting Vision of Hope.
The result was a new charitable initiative where Modern donates 5% of qualifying frame sales. Through the years, Modern has proudly contributed over $18,000 to OAA’s Vision of Hope. This program has tremendous potential because it’s limited only by OAA member participation. While COVID-19 may have interrupted the momentum and growth of VOH missions, contributions have continued to flow thanks to OAA members. In July of this year, Modern Optical delivered a $7,000 check, and more donations are within reach.

To qualify, your practice must meet the following criteria:
You must be a private retail practice, not a wholesale distributor/lab.
Your Modern account cannot be linked with another Buying Group (ADO, HEA, WVA, etc.) or Doctor Alliance Group (IDOC, PECAA, PERC, Vision Source, etc.)
Your Modern account must be in good standing.
